Our popular 'Young Designers Stitch Club' teaches sewing skills to children aged 8 - 16 and gives them an opportunity to design and create a range of projects as well as developing experience and expertise using a sewing machine.
Classes are held fortnightly on Saturdays for an hour and a half and we have three separate groups of children. Classes are booked in two month 'blocks' costing £32 for four lessons. Your child will be taught cutting, sewing and finishing techniques and how to thread and use a sewing machine. They will tackle a different class project for each block and the last session of each block is 'free project' week where they can make an item of their choosing using our library of books and class fabrics for inspiration.
All materials and refreshments are provided and kids get to take their completed projects home with them.
Our classes are currently full but please feel free to add your child's details to our waiting list below.
Why not try our 'Stitch camp' holiday clubs for your crafty kid?
During school holidays, we provide 'Stitch Camp' holiday clubs for children aged 8 - 16 where they can learn how to use a sewing machine and create a project of their choice to bring home with them. 'Stitch camp' holiday clubs run on selected days during school holidays from 10.30am - 4pm and cost £35. We provide snacks and refreshments but ask that children bring a packed lunch. No previous sewing experience required.
We also offer 'Little Stitchers' craft sessions for 4 - 8 year olds. Sessions cost £6 from 10.30am to 12pm on selected dates. Materials and refreshments are provided and if parents wish to stay, they can relax with a coffee in our comfortable lounge.
