Corsetry creation weekend - day 2

  • Sew in the City 119, West Bar Sheffield (map)
Corsetry creation weekend - 12th and 13th January 10am - 5pm

Working under the expert guidance of our specialist lingerie and corsetry tutor, Lou Watson, this weekend will enable you to learn the techniques to create a corset. If you have completed the ‘Corset Design Weekend’ you will be able to make up the corset to the pattern drafted then. If not, you will be able to create a corset to standard pattern.

Included in the workshop fee is a tasty lunch on both days. You will be provided with a list of required materials and suggested suppliers before the workshop.

This workshop is ideal for those interested in costume creation or bridal design but does require some experience of garment making. A 20% discount is available for those who book on this weekend and the corsetry design weekend (21st and 22nd July - tickets through corsetry design listing)

Lou Watson’s love of lingerie and corsetry culminated in her obtaining a degree in ‘Contour fashion’ from De Montfort University. Since then, she’s continued to specialize in designing and creating lingerie and corsetry by developing ideas as well as creating patterns and samples for a number of specialist businesses such as ‘Kiss Me Deadly’, ‘IA Technical’, ‘Little Women Fashion’ and ‘Edge O Beyond’. Her degree final collection, ‘Persephone’ was showcased at Earls Court in London as part of the Graduate Fashion week and in 2014 she was selected as a finalist for the ‘Young Designer of the Year’ award.
